Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions relate to activities Oceanside Art Studio conducts. Read carefully before completing your enrollment booking and paying.
In the Terms and Conditions listed herein:
“Class” means a block of time with a program during any term course, workshop, or school holiday program.
“Session” means an individual workshop or class.
“Term” means a block of classes during school term.

COVID Policies
In the event of a state - wide lockdown, whereby participants are physically prohibited from leaving the house, we will cancel your booking and post - pone for a later date at no extra charge. We do not require any notice for this as it is out of your/ our hands.

In the event that I am unable to run an event due to isolation requirements, the event will be rescheduled or a credit will be provided.
​
Masks are currently required to be worn by all participants aged 12+ during all sessions unless exempt, and when eating or drinking.
​
It is important that you do not attend if feeling unwell or you have been advised to isolate.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Oceanside Art Studio reserves the right to amend any class, session, tutor, or schedule at any time. In such circumstances, we will endeavour to provide a substitute class or tutor of equal standing.
If a class or term is cancelled because of insufficient enrollments, we will contact any student already enrolled and arrange for an alternative class/es, a credit, or refund. Enrollment is dependent on availability.
A minimum number of enrollments is required for each class.
Should a class fall on a public holiday, you will be advised of a replacement class date.
Only enrolled students may attend courses. Oceanside Art Studio reserves the right to refuse enrollment without explanation, and we will process a refund for the specific situation.
We will only give refunds of course fees if the class is cancelled or a place is not available in the class.

Missed Classes
Oceanside Art Studio cannot accept responsibility for changes to students’ personal circumstances that prevent their attendance. Classes missed are not refundable. There are no transfers, credits, refunds, or make-up classes for a missed class due to a change in personal circumstances.
Enrollment Cancellation
If you choose to withdraw your child from the term or course up to 7 days before classes commence, we will charge a $10 administration fee. You may transfer the remaining value (fee paid less administration fee) to another term/class or student, to be used within 12 months of the date we received payment. You will not receive a refund for the term or course fee paid.

If you choose to withdraw your child from the term or course within 7 days before classes commence, you will be charged 50% of the class fee. You may transfer the remaining value (half of the value of the class fee paid) to another class within 12 months of the date we received payment. There are no refunds for the class fee paid. We also DO NOT give refunds, transfers, or credits once the class commences.

You may transfer the student’s enrollment to someone else (a sibling or friend) at no cost, but please let us know at least 48 hours prior to classes commencing. If the student is enrolled in a term or course and, if for any reason, is unable to attend a class during the term, the place for the missed week CANNOT be given to someone else.

Enrollments and Payment of Fees

Payment of Fees
Class fees are listed on the Oceanside Art Studio website. Payment in full will confirm your child’s enrollment and is required before commencing the term. You may pay online via bank deposit, PayPal, or credit card. We accept Visa and MasterCard. A credit card fee may be charged. Tax receipts will be issued after receipt of payment.

Absences
Fees are not refundable, unless negotiated for an extended illness; and we do not permit transfers, refunds, or make-up sessions if your child misses a class or if your child’s personal circumstances change.

Art Materials
Materials for all classes are included in the fee. Students do not need to supply their own art materials. Occasionally, the student may need to supply additional items for a class. When this occurs, we will provide details during enrollment.
Artworks
We will give all their artworks to the students at the end of the class, project, or term. Should we organise an exhibit, students enrolled within the last 12 months will be eligible to participate in the exhibit. They will be asked to bring their favourite works for selection and exhibition.
Photography
From time to time, we may take photos or videos of students and artworks. These photos are used for Oceanside Art Studio promotional purposes only, including online and print promotions. Oceanside Art Studio will never sell these photos and videos and these will be used exclusively by and for Oceanside Art Studio. Your consent to the foregoing is implied as a Condition of Enrollment. Please notify us in writing should you prefer that we not take and use photos or videos of your child or your child’s artwork.

Conduct
At Oceanside Art Studio, we expect everyone to respect teachers, fellow artists, artwork, and property.
We do not tolerate discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age, race sex, gender, sexuality, marital status, physical or intellectual disability, or religion. We may remove, suspend, or expel from a class or term anyone exhibiting inappropriate or disruptive behaviour.

Punctuality
Out of respect for other students, students are requested to be punctual for classes. Unless arrangements were previously made, a parent or guardian should take the child to class, and must pick up the child promptly at the end of each class. Child-minding facilities are not available. Oceanside Art Studio does not accept responsibility for children before or after classes.
Health, Safety, and Allergies
If your child attending Oceanside Art Studio has an existing medical condition, allergy, or disability that may affect your or his/her participation in a class, notify us at the time of enrollment.

Alcohol Consumption
You agree that you shall only consume alcohol during our public sessions and private events if you are over the age of 18 years. You may require suitable identification to prove your age. If we believe that you are under the age of 18 years and you intend to consume or have consumed alcohol during our public sessions or private events, Oceanside Art Studio have the right to ask to leave without compensation. Guests will not be permitted into our studio or participate in any off-site public session or private event if you are intoxicated or we believe you are intoxicated.

Privacy
We value your privacy. Except where required by the Privacy Act or other legislation, we will not disclose the contact information you supply to Oceanside Art Studio outside Oceanside Art Studio without your express consent.
We do not retain the credit card information you may provide.

Mailing List
Oceanside Art Studio will from time to time send mail and e-mail to parents, guardians, and others to update them on the student’s works, activities, exhibits, and other information for marketing purposes.
Should you prefer to not receive mailings, please notify us during enrollment. Alternatively, you may subsequently notify us by e-mail.

Indemnity and Insurance
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you agree to indemnify Oceanside Art Studio from any accident, loss, damage, or injury suffered by you, your child, or property you own during any activity conducted by Oceanside Art Studio, including the exhibition or display of artworks or other items at designated exhibition spaces.
